The “Book of John” tells the Creation Story: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” This is enlightenment, and nothing else really needs to be said. However, more is always said, even in the bible.After explaining that another John, the Baptist, was “witness to the light,” he continues: “The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world knew him not. He came to his own home, and his own people received him not.”John goes on to say that if we believe in him, we have “power to become children of God.”And the Creation Story continues: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.” Of course, he’s talking about Jesus, but remember that Jesus said He came to show us the way, and anything that He does, we can do also. So, let’s assume that we too are the Word of God made manifest; much as a drop of water is not the entire ocean, but has within it the entire components. Wow! That is powerful. And it is the power that we each have within us: “Christ in you, your hope of glory.”
